Who We Are

The Origin of BTGM: In August 1999, as I was driving home from work (on I-64E near Hampton, VA), the Spirit of GOD inspired me to consider 3 distinct questions: (1) Why do some people have more than enough of almost everything they need; and others do NOT have anything? (2) Why do some people sleep on elaborate/elegant beds; and, some do NOT have a place to lay their heads? (3) Why do some people have too much food to waste; and, some have NO food to eat? In the midst of pondering these questions, tears began to roll down my face. Then, I asked the Lord, "how can a tangible difference be made?" His response was: "Bridge The Gap!" In 2018, BTGM became a 501(C3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Due to COVID-19, BTGM launched "Bridge The Gap" OUTREACH CENTER (in 2022), as its *"Compassionate arm" to serve people/communities in meeting the #Need gaps in Suffolk, Western Tidewater and the broader Hampton Roads Region.

Currently (in 2025), BTGM PENINSULA DISTRIBUTION CENTER has been launched on the VA Peninsula to #serve and meet the #Needs ("bridge those same gaps") in this Region, by operating in collaboration/partnerships with other individuals/*volunteers, *organizations, *ministries and businesses.

FOUNDER & EXEC DIR (MICHAEL OJUJOH): OUR ***VISION

In the future, BTGM's Founder sees/envisions our Peninsula Distribution Center (PDC) as the pivotal "Regional Hub" (conduit), through which GOOD 360 and other major CORPORATIONS/CONGLOMERATES "funnel " (distribute) critical supplies: (1) *Empowering people, (2) Enabling local communities, (3) *Promoting tranquility and (4) *Transforming our society.

OUR MISSION

BTGM's Peninsula Distribution Center's mission is to "Bridge The Gap" between the *fortunate and the "less/unfortunate", (*year-round) __ to alleviate hunger, despair, hopelessness & homelessness, by providing food and resources to those "in need". Our ultimate OBJECTIVE is to create real UNITY (a spirit of ONENESS) in our communities/society, as we demonstrate GOD's COMPASSION & LOVE to ALL people!

We are a *COALITION of "Partnering Networks" (Individual *Volunteers, Non-profit *Organizations. Ministries and Businesses), __ ranging from small/local to large/International, __ who are #United & #Committed to accomplishing our (shared) VISIONS & MISSIONS__ [to the GLORY OF GOD]!!!

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

CORPORATE DONATIONS

Corporate organizations and businesses MAY donate essential/critical and emergency Goods/supplies: diapers, baby milk/formula; linen, personal hygiene items, blankets, flashlights, batteries; canned foods/non-perishables, bottled water; etc...

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTIONS (Corporate and/or Individual $$)

Partners are welcomed and encouraged to make monetary donations

VOLUNTEERS (DONATING) TIME

PARTNERING organizations, ministries and individual "VOLUNTEERS" may provide HOURS of " Serving in the Warehouse. Volunteering would consist of sorting, labeling, loading/unloading or delivering #Goods. *ALL (VOLUNTEER) HOURS will be recorded, tracked and credited, as "COMMUNITY SERVICE", for *both Individuals and their respective organizations/churches, etc..
